Learning English: What's difference between "we all are ..." AND "we're all ..." and which one is correct?

all are invited.
We are all invited.

In most cases, they are interchangeable, although "we are all invited" sounds a little more natural to me.  Similarly, "we've all made mistakes" could be written as "we all have made mistakes" for purposes of emphasis and diction with very little difference in meaning.

There is one case where I would prefer "We all are invited," which is when "we" are invited as a group, rather than individually.  In this case, the sentence simply means "we are invited," and the "all" is there to broaden the "we" to refer to an entire group, as in "You all are ridiculous," shortened in some parts to "Y'all."  Even in less colloquial speech and writing, ambiguity in the matter of whom the plural "we," "you," and "they" refer to can be addressed with a nearby "all."
