هذا الأسلوب أو النمط - استخدام الجمل القصيرة - يساعد على إبراز الأحداث في النصّ ، ويوصل الفكرة :
e.g. " The police heard a little noise inside the bank. The robber noticed that. He wanted to escape. The police chased him. Pedestrains noticed the scene . One of them shouted at the robber. Another blocked his way. Then, the police arrived and arrested him".
" سمعت الشرطة جلبة خفيفة داخل المصرف. لاحظ اللص ذلك. أراد أن يهرب. طاردت الشرطة. لاحظ المارة المشهد. صاح أحدهم: اللصّ. قام آخر باعتراض طريقه. حينئذٍ، وصلت الشرطة واعتقلته !".
